Environment

Dermatophytes are those fungi that cause athlete’s foot or onychomycosis (mycosis of the nail). Moreover, an infection is more easily contracted when the skin is fragilized by chemicals, and by the cutting, filing and shaping of the nails.
The applicators of the base or of the gel, or other instruments that cannot be sterilized, might be contaminated by fungi, and can become the source of further infections.
